To Twig something is to understand how it works and for that to happen you need to start somewhere. This first issue of Twig is intended as a starting point for you to start to understand what all those knobs do on a mixer. Where the CD goes into a CDJ and how to start to think about making your first DJ sets .

Choose how to navigate this release , use it as you will and learn from the text and images in order to become a DJ .

Download (for free) and put it onto your own USB stick then start to add music into your files following the instructions given.

This is a choose your own adventure , DIY concept and in issue #2 we will learn how to use editing programs and build your own first DJ mix / radio show / podcast using free to download audio editing software.

You will need access to a computer , and some time to make the most of this project , it is intended as just a starting point.

From this point on you will build your confidence and learn many things

JCDecaux started off as an audio visual project by Michael Holland & Rachel Margetts looking at the usefulness of books and the changing way in which books are used. Our first gig was at the afterhours event at Manchester Central Library in May 2015. Rachel played this gig alone .
