Raw First Impulse work from a trip to the Manor House at Laidi in Kurzeme Latvia

Sound recorded and captured then messed with and made into something un-mastered in the days between 20th and 24th March 2023

I Went to Laidi with an idea of making something thanks to a prompt from David at Kuš! comics as well as meeting Kristaps at Dirty Deal Audio . In the days i was in Laidi i started to make some sound pieces with an idea to combine these into a radio show for Tirkultura Radio in Rīga. these are raw parts from those days.

I went to this place with no real expectations of how it might be or who i might meet there . I was pleasantly surprised by the space and the seemingly boundless positive energy in the space . there was a friendliness and welcome place that i discovered in the people there and also inside the wonderful house .

JCDecaux started off as an audio visual project by Michael Holland & Rachel Margetts looking at the usefulness of books and the changing way in which books are used. Our first gig was at the afterhours event at Manchester Central Library in May 2015. Rachel played this gig alone .
